Who We Are
The International Association of African Non-Governmental Organizations (IAAN) is a pan-African umbrella organization dedicated to strengthening and empowering NGOs, individuals, and students committed to social impact across Africa. IAAN serves as a central platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, fostering a network where organizations and individuals can learn from one another and amplify their collective impact.
IAAN and its members works to promote sustainable development, eradicate poverty, advance gender equality, empower women, girls, and children, protect the environment, and encourage good governance and social accountability in communities. Through strategic programs, advocacy, and partnerships, IAAN equips its members with the tools, resources, and training necessary to enhance organizational credibility, improve operational effectiveness, and maximize community impact.
By connecting African NGOs and individuals with regional and international networks, IAAN creates opportunities for members to gain exposure, access funding, and participate in initiatives that strengthen their capacity and scale their programs. Our Goal
Our goal is to strengthen members' programs and institutions by enhancing governance structures, organizational credibility, and community impact. We work to support members in building transparent, accountable, and effective organizations capable of delivering meaningful and lasting change. Through training, partnerships, and advocacy, we aim to equip our members with the tools necessary to scale their impact and drive positive social transformation across Africa.
